A wonderful place, returning to modernism is priceless! Very good attention, excellent service, as well as cleanliness. It is a hotel with great details in the room, with Chopard products (gel and shampoo), towels, slippers, fine sheets, a thirst for coffee to drink in the room, excellent air conditioning! ... the perfect facilities and an aroma in the corridors that transports you to the past ! What to say about the location ? the BEST location in Passeig de Gracia, near the subway, La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, restaurant area, near the Gracia neighborhood, which is the new "Gothic Quarter" of the city, with shops of young designers and alternative cuisine. . Sublime the Hotel and its decoration .
I must admit that EVERYTHING IS PERFECT, pool is very small, now it is winter, nothing happens, in summer it must collapse. It would be nice, to have a heated indoor pool.

The hotel has beautiful decor and a luxurious feel. The staff were helpful and genuinely cared about. Our room was spacious with a comfy bed, and we loved enjoying meals at the fantastic terrace bar with great entertainment. The location is perfect for exploring the city.
Limited options for waiter service at breakfast.

hotel is super nice. location is perfect, we had a deluxe double room and it had everything you might need (a small detail but very nice: the hotel toiletry kit included a spray shaving gel in the travel format). room had a coffee machine (with several coffee and milk capsules) and a kettle with some tea bags. check in is at three but we arrived at 10 am and staff was super attentive, they offered me several options where I could work until they gave me a room, they accompanied me to the terrace, they gave me the WIFI keys. They gave me a room at 12:30.
The pillows were very thin. I'm used to viscoelastic pillows. It's also true that it didn't even cross my mind to ask if they had a letter of pillows that possibly had it. The pool is very small, impossible to swim, you can only stand like in a Jacuzzi but without bubbles :). The gym is quite poor: just count one exercise bike, two treadmills, an elliptical trainer, a weight machine and an abs bench. The breakfast is super expensive but next to the hotel there are a lot of places where you can have a very good breakfast for half the price.

Very nice hotel in an excellent location and a historic building. Very friendly staff and excellent shopping in the heart of Barcelona.
Rooms are a bit small.

One of the concierges, Mierca, was excellent. Professional & welcoming.
Small issue only, Room 101 had torn carpet and one of the bathroom electrical points was hanging from the wall. It felt a little like the room where 'discounted' customers get put.

The Beautiful Double or Twin Room was spacious with a comfy bed, made for a great night's sleep. The decor felt luxurious and had a nice modern touch, but you could also see some wear in certain areas. The bathroom was nice, but I expected a bit more luxury with the fixtures. It had a pleasant vibe, and the room was nicely maintained despite its historical setting.

Location is certainly the best thing about the hotel!
The lobby, cafe, corridors and rooms all seemed to be dark and not very inviting!

Good location, friendly and helpful staff.
To begin with, the hotel does not take care of the details of a 5-star GL. The facilities are outdated and certain details are not taken care of that considering the category and price of the rooms cannot be afforded. The bed is very hard and noisy, the room has a musical thread that according to what we were informed in the hotel was not working for years. The air conditioning was not working either. In addition, the bathroom with bathtub should have a full screen and they have fixed the mess with a white fabric curtain. It is unthinkable that in a hotel of such category they do not take care of those details. The soaps in the bathroom do not duplicate them in the double rooms, nor did they replace them the next day, which they should not neglect either. The hairdryer is another detail to be improved and if we talk about the views of the room, it was a brick wall. In short, the hotel is not worth the price you pay or the category.
